Once you have done all your planning for your kids birthday party and have even settled on the theme to be used for the day, the next thing is to fit in the content in terms of specific fun and games to keep the young guests busy and excited the whole time. This can be quite a challenge if you do not choose your games carefully while considering the age of the children you are dealing with.

Here are a few birthday party game ideas that can help you set up a memorable and unforgettable party for the child you love. Remember to put in some creativity and modify the games to suit your particular theme or purpose for the day.

The Cake Walk Numbers Game: Create a circle of numbers on the ground and have each child stand on a number.  Begin playing some music and have everyone walk or jump from number to number. While they are doing this draw a number from a hat and then stop the music suddenly. Whoever is standing on that number you have drawn when the music stops is the winner. Have a nice prize for the winner. It can be a cake for instance.

Pin the tail on the elephant: It doesn’t have to be an elephant you can actually use any animal depending on the theme of your kids birthday party. You can even change it to a flower or something. Each child is blindfolded and then gets to try placing the tail as close as possible to where it is supposed to go.  The one who comes closest is the winner.

How low can you go: You will need a bar which should be set up in such a way that it can be raised or lowered. Alternatively you can have two people hold the bar. Play some music and then have everyone take a turn going under the bar. Every child must go under the bar facing forward and leaning back. The person who can go the lowest is the winner; the fun part of this game is that it is not as easy as it may appear at first.
